EN 1385 is a European safety standard that defines testing requirements for non-motorized, non-ballistic protective helmets. Originally developed for activities such as white-water sports, EN 1385 evaluates blunt impact absorption, retention system security, and minimum coverage areas to ensure the helmet remains properly positioned during impact.
EN 166A is a European safety standard for eye and face protection that defines optical quality and impact resistance for protective lenses and visors. The “A” rating is the highest impact designation within EN 166 and requires lenses to withstand high-speed projectiles without cracking or shattering. Testing thresholds exceed the energy output of common marking and training rounds.
ASTM F1776 is a U.S. safety standard that specifies testing and performance requirements for non-ballistic protective headgear used with paintball and marking-round systems.
